Single-Use & Takeaway Items Bylaw

On March 1, 2024, a new bylaw took effect that aims to transition away from single-use and takeaway items to reusable alternatives.

Commercial Façade Improvement Grant Program

Accepting applications March 4 – April 30, 2024 (or until all available funds are depleted). You could get FREE funding from the City for eligible improvements to your building’s facade.

Small Business Tax Subclass – April 1st Deadline to Request Reconsideration

If you have recently received an Amended Property Assessment Notice from MPAC that indicates a change in the tax class of your property to “Commercial Small Business”, your property has been deemed to meet the eligibility criteria to receive the tax relief and your property tax account will be adjusted accordingly.

If you did not receive an amended notice and believe you are eligible, you have until April 1, 2024 to submit a Request for Reconsideration for the 2024 taxation year. (No late submissions can be accepted.)
